Visit to the Aquarium

Nana and Gramps were nice enough to take us all to the aquarium at the Mall of America.  Cadence really likes seeing all the fish swimming around, although she wasn’t too crazy about it when they swam over her head in the enclosed tunnel.

For some reason, she really liked this shark cage.  She kept going in and out and shutting the door and pushing me out when I tried to come in.  There was also another little boy who she invited in but for some reason I don’t have any pictures of that.

Yes Nana, you can film THIS Nemo ;o)

Visit from Nana and Gramps

We got a little visit from my parents a couple of months ago.  At first Cadence was a little stand-offish towards Gramps, but it didn’t take long for her to warm up to him.  They were nice enough to watch her while I worked full days at work for a change.  It was nice to work for a change, but I missed spending my days with my little girl.

She had a blast because Nana and Gramps let her jump on the bed!!

It's been a while

Sorry I haven't kept up with the blog. Cadence keeps us pretty busy during the day and I've been working on some projects lately that keep me away from the computer.

I think the only news that we have is we started Cadence in a toddler class once a week last week. She loves it! The kids and parents play for about 45 minutes and then they get ready for snack. After snack, the parents get their children engaged in an activity and are able to sneak away to have some parent time. I was really nervous about leaving Cadence with the teachers but I knew they would call into the room we were in if they needed to. The parent time was over and no call to come and get Cadence! I walked back into the room and had great news from the teachers! Both of them said that Cadence did an awesome job. I was really nervous becuase Cadence hasn't experienced anything like that before. Since we aren't putting her in daycare like we wanted to, we knew we needed something so she could interact with children her own age. This class is perfect. I can't wait until our next class on Wednesday! I didn't take any pictures because I wasn't sure how the other parents would feel but hopefully once I get more comfortable with everything, I'll take some pics!

The Prall's

We had my friend Bobbi and her kids over the other night for dinner. The kids sat at Cadence's pretty flower table and painted some Christmas ornaments while dinner was cooking. I made some great chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries. The nuggets were delicious and came from a recipe book called Deceptively Delicious. I would put a link to the book on here but I'm not really sure how (Jen where are you?) It is all about hiding vegetables in your food so your kids will eat them. I know you're probably saying Cadence is too young to know the difference and that's what I think but she somehow knows that green things are good for you and she doesn't want to eat them. So, this book is perfect! I can't wait to try more recipes. The kids has a blast with one another.

Funny

Some pictures of Cadence with her HUGE Mickey and Minnie dolls. She just loves them, even though they are bigger than her!
