One for Aunt Kiki

Dear Aunt Kiki and cousin Aidan,
Thank you so much for teaching me how to eat my baby food. Yesterday I ate almost a whole container of banana yogurt (I finished it for breakfast this morning). I also ate half of a container of green beans yesterday. Today, I ate half of a jar of applesauce. We had a busy day today and I'm not feeling well otherwise I probably would have eaten more. It's not much but it's definately a start. Thanks again!!!!
Love, Cadence (and her mom and dad)

Before and After

Since we have kind of a small space in our living room for all of Cadence's toys, I thought it would be a good idea to keep all of her books seperate. I found a home for them and started putting them all away (keep in mind these are just her board books). She found them before I was even done putting them all away. How can you not smile at this mess? I love that she is totally into books!

My new Friends

While we were home my mom gave Cadence some little stuffed animals of Mickey and Minnie. She absolutely loved them and wouldn't let them go. So, we went to the MOA today and found some bigger ones for her. She doesn't stop giggling at them when she sees them.

Last ones I promise

Sort of new faces

Here are a couple pics of all of Cadence's cousins that she met while she was home.

Home again Home again...

jiggity jig...
So, we're back from our 'vacation' to Vermont to see friends and family. It was the best visit so far. I think that I can speak for everyone when I say that there was soooo much to do and not enough time to do it all. We really enjoyed our trip (as we do all of them) and we are extremely motivated and excited to move home. Although, The whole process would go a lot faster if someone won the lottery and bought our house :)

While we were home, Cadence got sick, and she's still sick. We found out the other day that my dad had pnemonia and bronchitis. We're hoping Cadence didn't catch it. I think we're doctor bound tomorrow.

Cadence did excellent on all of the plane rides. She only had one crying spell, which was on the last leg of the last plane ride. When we reached our destination and got our bags, a man came up to us and said he wanted to thank us. I asked him what he was thanking us for and he said "For brining your little one on the plane". All I could think was that he was annoyed that Cadence was crying on the decent into MSP. Boy was I ever wrong. He said that he was in town to meet his first grandson and he wasn't sure what to expect out of a baby. He said that he now knows a little bit of what to expect out of his 1 month old grandson. We sat and chatted for a few mintues while we both waited for our rides. Was I ever releaved to know that people don't really get annoyed at crying babies on planes!

Well, it's getting late and I think it's time for the Haggerty's in MN to go to B-E-D. I'll be sure to post more this weekend. It was wonderful to see everyone and can't wait to see you all again real soon!

Easter Bunny

I have a friend at work who is a photographer on the side. She's the one we've taken Cadence to see to get her pics taken and we'll probably take her there every year near her birthday.
This past weekend, Erin decided to have a live bunny at the photo shoot. See how Cadence did with the bunny!

I don't even think she knew there was a live animal right next to her. The bunny didn't move quite like our cats do!
Sorry to all of you who want to see new pics of Cadence. I haven't been very good at putting new ones up lately. This week has flown by so far and last week we weren't even staying at our house. The babysitting for twin 9 year olds went as well as we could expect it to. Cadence was the one who had the hardest time and her mom or dad were with her at all times! She didn't sleep through the night at all the whole week. She wouldn't take naps very well either. I think she might have slept in her crib for maybe an hour the whole week. (Jon would bring her home during the days to be in her element). The older kids were excellent. Lea helped with Cadence and also helped me to make dinner when Cadence was crabby (which was 90% of the time). Zack really only wanted to play hockey or playstation. As a male, he didn't really want anything to do with the baby, except make her smile sometimes!
So, we're back at home. Now it's time to get ready to go again! I can't believe a week from tomorrow (or today if you're reading this on Thursday) we'll be in the New England area. Time sure does fly. We just hope that Cadence sleeps better at Nana and Gramps' or Memere and Papa's better than she did at our friend's house.
So until then, you'll all have to wait in suspence to see little Cadence live!
