Playing

Cadence loves to play with the kitties. They are very tolerant of her pulling their tails, giving them hugs and kisses and chasing them around the living room. We are very lucky! She also likes to play ball.

Smiley girl

Lately Cadence has been smiling for the camera. I love it! She's also started to let me put her hair up without pulling it out. I love this picture. She looks ity bity in it even though it was just taken last night. I think it's the hair.

Spinich

This is a funny story that I have to tell. The other nite, we made pizza and on my half I put spinich while Jon put onions on his half. We gave Cadence the pieces with spinich and she didn't like it at first. As you can see, in the drink holder on her tray, there sits most of the spinich from her piece of pizza. She seperated the spinich from the rest of the pizza and stuck the 'green stuff' in the drink tray. Jon says 'at least we know she's not color blind'. She did like it after she tried it.

Fun in the tent

Hello from inside my play tent.
Go figure...there's a Mikey in there with her!

Favorites

Like most kids, Cadence has her favorite stuffed animals. These just so happen to be larger than life! I went to the Mall of America yesterday and our last stop was the Disney Store. We usually stop there even if we aren't getting anything. Cadence noticed Mickey and Minnie as soon as we walked into the store. When I took Minnie away, she didn't like it very much. She screamed and screamed until we left the store.

Crazy girl

Cadence trying on mommy's boots. She even tried walking in them.

Lunch bag head

Cadence's new thing is to put Jon's hats or this lunch bag on her head and walk around. She gives herself enough room so that she can look down and see if there is anything in her way. I'm not sure what it's all about but she has a blast with it!

I read this joke and can't help but to pass it on...

One sunny day in ***2009*** an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue , where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said: 'I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.' The Marine looked at the man and said: 'Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here.' The old man said: 'Okay' and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine: 'I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.'The Marine again told the man: 'Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here.' The man thanked him and, again, just walked away. The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U. S. Marine, saying: I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.' The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said: 'Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I've told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?' The old man looked at the Marine and said: 'Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.'
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said: 'See you tomorrow!"

Tag

Jen tagged me, which means that I get to share 6 interesting facts about myself and then "tag" other blog friends to share their own facts. I tag Veronica, probably the only person that hasn't been tagged from the blogs I read.
1) I am studying to become a gymnastics judge in MN. I did gymnastics for 10 years and miss it so this is my contrubution back to the sport.
2) I HATE BUGS! Any kind, any size, any type. I hate them all!
3) I dislike being in my house by myself. It's creepy. I can't wait to move.
4) I am very intolerant of parents who treat their children with disrespect or don't care for them the way children should be cared for. I am very passionate about children being loved and taken care of.
5) PARANOID. That pretty much sums me up in a nutshell.
6) I LOVE MOVIES. I love most all movies and enjoy movie night with my family (which is most weekend nights).

Happy Birthday

My mom sent me these pics of my niece Nicole's 3rd birthday party!
Wish we could have been there.

KK and Nicole dressed up for Halloween. KK is a dental assistant and Nicole is a mouse. How cute!

Happy Birthday to Julia also. I don't have any pics of her parties but I'm sure it was fun.

Friends

My friend Jenny has a nephew who is 2 months older than Cadence and they have yet to meet...until today! Hayden didn't seem too thrilled that Cadence was taking all of his toys. Cadence didn't even seem phased that there was another toddler around. After a while, they were giving kisses. Those will be the only kisses she'll get from a boy until she's 30...right dad?!?!

Sorry about the first picture. It is blurry...a common effect my camera gives...I HATE IT!!

Getting Ready

Here is Cadence getting herself prepared for Halloween.

You can kind of see Mickey's ears sticking up out of the halloween bucket. Her Mickey and Minnie's are like her baby dolls. She's obsessed!!

Look at me! I'm standing in a lunchbox, and very proud of it! Yes, my child is a bit crazy. I will try to get her on video someday putting her feet into things. She will grab ahold of one leg and shove it in then grab ahold of the other leg and she's so proud and happy the whole time!

Halloween

Sorry it's been a while since the last post.

We took Cadence out trick or treating last night with the twins and one of their friends. We couldn't keep up with them so we went to about every 5 houses. It took her a good dozen houses before she realized what was going on. She finally caught on and would set her bucket on the steps in front of the homeowners once they opened the door. Either that or she would dig her hands in the candy dishes and pull out anything she could grab. She was such a trooper the whole night! I couldn't get her to sit very still for any good pictures so we'll deal with what we got.
P.S. Sorry some pics are blurry...I dislike my camera with great passion!!
Riding along in my little red wagon holding on tight to my candy bucket.
Walking around with Minnie. It's impossible to get this girl to stay still.

My friend Bobbi's kids!
