Soooo Sorry!
So it’s been a long time since we updated our blog. There will probably be lots of new posts today, so be sure to check the next page just in case. Holly had been busy with other projects and I (Jon) have been busy with my projects and keeping up with our two year old. Lately she has been thriving on the word “no” and hearing it a lot lately. Here is a little look at one of her mild fits. Usually she lays on her stomach on the floor and flares around her arms and legs.
Music
Our little girl seems to have quite the flare for music.
Dancing to her own theme song (thanks to Memere)
Play her (actually this one is mine) harmonica. Notice how she tried to get the vibrato effect at the end with her hand.
Playing her recorder
My favorite, playing my guitar
This drum set was given to us by a close friend of ours.
Check out the shirt!
She also likes to play her harp, but I don’t have any recent pictures or videos of that.
18 (actually 20) Month Pictures
We has some professional pictures taken back in Feb when Nana and Gramps were visiting. It was hard to get some good shots because Cadence was tired and a little crabby, but they still came out great.
Random Cute Pics
Bird Watching
We stopped by the park down the street from our house for a little bird watching… well, actually, it was BIG bird watching.
Just in case you couldn’t tell, there are 5 Bald Eagles in the trees. During the months of Jan and Feb, there are usually a lot more at dusk in our back yard. It’s pretty neat to hear all the chatter in the trees.
Swimming with Nana and Gramps
Oops, I forgot this one. At the hotel where my parents were staying, there was a pool that Cadence got to visit everyday (sometimes twice a day). She seemed to enjoy dipping her feet in the hot tub and watching the bubbles then actually swimming in the pool.
The Davis’s
Our friends Kasey and Allen (or Bam-Bam as he’s sometimes called) came for a weekend visit from North Carolina. Cadence instantly took to Allen, it was quite surprising since she it usually takes her a while to warm up to new men.
Sorry Kasey, since we spent a lot of time lounging around the house, we have a bunch of pictures of you in your PJs.
Believe it or not, we really do get along quite well.
This is taken at the Mall of America, there is an amusement park in the center of it.
