I almost forgot

Every year Jon's dad reads 'The Night Before Christmas' to all the kids. Well, since we can't be there, they sent us the book so that Jon and I can start that tradition with Cadence and our future children. I think this is the first book that she hasn't tried to chew to pieces. We also went to our friends' Kim and Darwin's house for dinner (fantastic prime rib, garlic bread, cheesy potatoes, mushrooms and corn-boy was that delicious!) Here are a few pictures to enjoy!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a fantastic Christmas minus missing our families. We thoroually enjoyed our first Christmas with our daugher. She didn't really understand what was going on but we loved every minute of it! We had to stop opening presents halfway through because Cadence was so tired she wanted to take a nap. Boy, is our little girl loved. Thank you all for this amazing Christmas. Hope it was happy for everyone!

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday! This has been a weird week for us. I was on a project at work so I had to work the early shift 7:30-4 (OUCH!) Jon stayed at home with daddy then went to work when I got home. Cadence could sense the difference. She usually wakes up for me around 8:30 or 9am. All week she woke up by 7:30. Poor daddy. But, we made it!! Thank goodness it's over though.

Cadence is sitting up all by herself now. When she sits in her bouncy seat, she pulls herself up to the sitting position instead of laying down. Lately, she has got this head bobbing obsession. It totally gets her going. We're not sure where it came from but she likes to swing her head side to side and then she giggles. She is such a blast and a great baby! We couldn't ask for anything more!!

Oh, and in gettng ready for Christmas, I couldn't resist the first picture. The second one is just so cute. She's all bundled up ready to go for a ride!!

Christmas is Coming!

Every year my work has a 'Kid's Christmas Party" with Santa. We took Cadence this year and she seemed to enjoy it.

Welcome to our blog

Hey everyone! Welcome to our new blog (I'm not even really sure what a blog is but I'll pretend). Jon's friend Jen had a fantastic idea to start a blog so that people who don't live near her or don't see her often can keep up with her wonderful family and beautiful daughter Acadia as she grows. I thought it was a great idea from the start but never thought I could do it. Well, here I am trying it out. I'll try to keep posting things at least once a week and we'll go from there. You don't get much free time with a 6 1/2 month old.
