Trip to the new playground

I took Cadence and Lea to the new playground last weekend. We had a blast figuring out what all of the new playground equipment does.

Munchkin

Take a look at our little munchkin...

Good times

I have some great friends! Some of my friends decided to do something very very nice for me for my birthday.

Aren't they great? I walked into work and there were flowers on the receptionist's desk. They are NEVER for me. This time they were for me!!

Dr. Appt

Cadence went in for her 15 month check up last week...ya ya I know, a little late. Everything is great with her. The doctor seemed amazed at her verbal skills. When the doctor came into the room, Cadence looked at her and waved as she said 'hi'. The doctor couldn't believe that Cadence knew to greet her when she came into the room. I guess I didn't think twice about it, it's just what she does. She says hi when someone comes in and bye when they leave.
Even with Cadence being soooo picky about what she eats, she is gaining weight and growing very well. She of course has her own growth pattern (like her mom--she'll be on the short side we think). And after her shots, we were out the door with a clean bill of health!
If you would like some stats...here they are:
Height: 31 1/4 in tall
Weight: 21 lbs 8 oz

Amazing

The most amazing thing just happened. Cadence was playing, talking to herself when all of a sudden she stopped what she was doing and said "ught oh, wet". Sure enough, she had just went pee in her diaper! Amazing!

Update

I don't know that I've ever posted an update on Cadence on here, but there's always a first! Cadencfe is full of energy every day...all day! She is very good at repeating words that we say. So far her vocabulary consists of: momma, dadda, kitty, memere, papa, nana, eyes, bye bye, oh no, ught oh, oh man, moon (a new one tonight), up, down, out, no way, mickey, minnie, ride, sorry, Riley, Gary, na-nite, no, wet, butt, juice, all done, water, weeee, and I'm sure there are many more but I just can't think of them all right now.
She went down the slide for her first time by herself today. I took her to the new playground and she had a blast. I will post pictures later. She climbs everything. She is always trying to climb up on the couch and all of the stools around the house that I need. She's always on the go and has recently started dancing to music playing. It's so cute. I'll post a video once I learn how to.
She is also eating very very well lately. I'm sure I've just jinxed everything but we're so happy that she's starting to eat like a normal one year old! Now if we could just get her to eat some more veggies, we'd be all set. She loves her milk and dairy products as well as pasta. Anything pasta, she'll eat it. The one vegetable that we found she likes right now is lettuce. We discovered it by accident but she seems to suck the nutrients right out!
Well, that's all I can think of for now. More updates will come shortly.
Hope all is well with everyone!!

Winter is coming

Last year, we thought we were doing a good thing by buying the 'winter gear' ahead of time. We bought Cadence a winter coat and some snowpants. Well, I guess we weren't doing ourselves any favors...at least not for this year. Cadence is swimming in the 18 month coat we got and well you can just imagine what the 24 month pants look like. So, today while we were at the MOA, we stopped in just to try on different sizes...this is what we found.
The coat...still a little bit too big.
The snowpants....a bit too long.
The whole outfit...stiff :)
