Finally Snow!

We finally got Cadence out in the snow this past weekend. It has been so bitter cold here for pretty much the entire winter! With the wind gusts, it feels like negative 20 most days! So, this past weekend was very sunny and not so breezy. We took Cadence out for a walk (which didn't last long because people don't know how to keep their sidewalks clear of cars and trash cans!)

After our walk, we decided to see what Cadence would do in the snow. So, you ask 'well, what did she do'? She didn't do much. She grazed her arms on top of the snow and she kicked her feet (something she does to feel the surface she's on-hard to explain). She didn't seem to mind it at all. I think I enjoyed watching her more than she enjoyed a new experience!

Obsession

If Cadence is on the couch with us, her new obsession is to be standing on the couch. She loves standing and this is really the only place where she can keep her grip with her feet and her balance. Weird, I know. All of our floors are hard wood floors and when she has socks on her feet, she slides everywhere. So, she stands on the couch! It's quite amuzing to watch especially if there is a cat on top of the couch!

Future Musician?

Cadence has been so fascinated by music since she was born. Jon used to play his guitar and sing to her while she was still in my belly. When she was really little, they would have music time together while I was at work. She will stop whatever she is doing and turn towards any music she hears no matter where it is coming from. We can't wait to see what she does with this fascination when she's older!

Great Opportunity

My old supervisor called me a couple months ago and asked if I would be willing to watch her twins for a week while her and her husband took a vacation. I jumped at the opportunity. I love her kids! They are cheerful, fun and energetic (alomost) 9 year olds! I am getting a little more nervous as the days get closer but we'll do just fine! It'll just be a change of scenery and routine. Swimming lessons, volleyball practice, floor hockey...etc, etc, etc. We're not there yet with Cadence so I guess it'll be a nice glimpse into the future!

Lea is so good with Cadence. She told me that she was going to teach Cadence how to crawl and drink from a sippy cup throughout the week. Zack...well he's a guys guy. Always wanting Jon to play playstation with him.

So, the journey begins on Thursday night after work. I can't wait!

It's been a while

It's been a while since I've posted a new message. I just wanted to remind everyone that there's only 25 more days until we come home for a visit! We are so excited to see everyone. It's going to be a pretty hectic week but we're looking forward to it! Only a little while longer and you'll all get to see this beautiful little girl!

I'm cool and very uncomfortable

This past weekend was soooooo cold, I didn't even want to step outside. But, the grocery shopping was calling my name. I decided to take Cadence with me since we were going to stop by a friend's house on the way home. We bundled her up so well she couldn't move. It didn't last long at all...the coat came of pretty quickly. On top of it being sooooo cold, it was also soooo sunny so we had to protect her little eyes from the sun. She wasn't much of a fan of the sunglasses either. They came off as soon as we got to the store. But, she's still super cute!!

Future Star!!

Kleenex!

Hooray for kleenex ;/

Cadence got ahold of the kleenex box this past weekend and decided to shread every piece she got her little hands on! It was so cute, I couldn't help but to laugh and enjoy the show!

I love this next one. The look on her face is priceless.
